Velo Client 0.9.1

0.9.1 is a big one: bring everything over from your old client in one click, play together better in parties, and a pile of fixes you asked for.

Switch from your old client

Press Switch from another client at the top of Home: pick where you're coming from - Lunar, Feather, NoRisk, the Modrinth App, Prism / MultiMC, CurseForge or the vanilla launcher (the ones on your PC light up), tick what to bring - keybinds and settings, servers, Fabric mods (fetched from Modrinth in the right version), configs, resource packs, shaders and worlds - and press Bring it over. New to Velo? The launcher offers it on your very first start.

Parties

• Live location - turn on Share my position on the world map and your party sees you as an arrow on theirs. Off every time you join a party.
• Follow me - the leader can ask the party to follow: when they join another server, everyone gets a small popup to join too. No full-screen menus mid-fight, and it can't be spammed.
• Voice group - with Simple Voice Chat, your party gets its own voice group automatically (the password is shown in the Party tab). Opt-in.
• /party no longer shows up red in chat, and Tab completes your party members.

/velo commands

/velo plus shows how much Velo+ you have left, /velo coins your coins, /velo store, /velo map, /velo friends, /velo waypoint <name> posts a waypoint in chat, plus /phantom and /flyspeed <amount> (only when the server doesn't have those commands itself). Everything tab-completes.

World map & waypoints

• Your arrow on the map now points the right way.
• Right-click a waypoint on the map to edit, delete, teleport or share it.
• In creative: click anywhere on the map to teleport there.
• New Chat button: posts a waypoint (position, dimension, world) in chat.
• Waypoints and maps of the same server no longer split in two when you join from the launcher vs. the server list.

Hearts, hunger & armor

The custom bars now default to Vanilla Recolored - the real vanilla icons in your colour (the old look is still there as Velo Style). Hearts update instantly again, and AppleSkin's food preview shows with custom bars. Enemy hunger estimates reset when a server heals and feeds everyone between rounds.

New cosmetics

The Neon collection is now the Future collection, with new Sci-Fi Circuit Wings, two new capes - Circuit and Holo Grid - and the Hologram aura. Pearl, Kintsugi and Heaven were redrawn so they're no longer washed-out white, and every Velo cape now shows crisply on your elytra.

Christmas is coming

The Yuletide collection: three animated capes - Silent Night, Festive Lights and Gift Wrap - the Ice Star Wings and the Festive aura, a garland of chasing lights with baubles, a star and snow.

Safer friends & parties

• Report someone from a friend chat or party chat - pick what happened (spam, scam, insults...), add a note and, only if you tick the box, the recent messages. Chats aren't watched by anyone, so chat at your own risk - but the team reads every report.
• The Velo team (with the new Velo Staff cape) can hide inappropriate custom capes and ban players from friends, custom capes or parties.

Cosmetics load for everyone

Other players' capes, wings and auras now keep retrying until they load instead of giving up - no more seeing someone without the cape they're wearing.

Launcher

• Search profiles and servers right on the Home screen.
• Your profile page shows your player wearing your cosmetics; 3D skin layers now load for every skin (legacy and HD skins too).
• Velo+ Addons card in the Mods tab: add them to a profile with one click; choose whether the + shows on your badge.
• New installs get a ready-to-play 26.2 profile, and new profiles get Wavey Capes for nicer cape physics.
• Servers on another port: typing host:port in the address now just works, and SRV records are followed.
• You no longer show as online when the launcher sits in the background while you play another client.
• Discord now recognises the game on Windows (overlay and Playing Minecraft).

Also

• Redstone Mode and party pings are unbound by default - R and V belong to your other mods (voice chat!). Set them in Controls.
• Phantom no-clip flying no longer crouches you or slows you down inside blocks.
• In-game Owner panel redesigned like the launcher's.
