Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-10-21
1. Scope and provider
These Terms apply to the Velo Client mod, the Velo Client launcher, this website and the Velo Network online services (together, the "Software"). The provider is David Seibert, In der Au 25A, 53545,Linz am Rhein, Germany ("we", "us"); see the Imprint. By installing or using the Software you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
If you are under 18, please use the Store and paid features only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. What Velo Client is
Velo Client is an independently developed Fabric mod and launcher for Minecraft: Java Edition. The launcher, the client and its modules are free. Optional cosmetic items can be unlocked with Velo Coins, and an optional Velo+ subscription is available. Velo Client is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang Synergies AB or Microsoft Corporation.
3. License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and run the Software for your own use. You may not sell the Software, claim authorship of it, remove notices, or pass off modified copies as your own work. The license of the source code in our repository also applies. Velo+ Addons are licensed only to active Velo+ members and only for the duration of the membership.
4. Third-party software and services
- The mod needs Fabric Loader and Fabric API; the launcher installs further open-source mods (such as Sodium and Lithium). They are separate software under their own licenses.
- Signing in to Minecraft uses Microsoft's own authentication and is subject to Microsoft's terms. We never see or store your Microsoft password or your Minecraft access token.
- Minecraft servers have their own rules, and some restrict client-side mods. Whether Velo Client is allowed on a server is between you and that server. Velo+ Addons that act on your behalf only work in singleplayer and on private servers.
5. Velo Network and your account
Online features (friends, messages, parties, cosmetics, the Store, rewards) are provided by the Velo Network. Your "account" is your Minecraft account: we identify you by your Minecraft UUID, verified the way Minecraft servers do it. On this website you sign in with a one-time code from the launcher; the website session lasts up to 7 days on that browser. Keep your codes to yourself - anyone with a valid code can act for your account until it expires. You can switch the Velo Network off in the game and in the launcher at any time.
6. Velo Coins and cosmetics
- What they are. Velo Coins are a virtual currency used only to unlock cosmetic items (wings, capes, auras, bundles). Cosmetics don't change gameplay.
- No cash value. Velo Coins and cosmetics have no monetary value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be sold or transferred to other players, except by using the Store's gift feature. They are licensed to your Minecraft account; you don't own them as property.
- Prices. Store prices are shown in Velo Coins. Daily picks, deals and bundles can change at any time; the price shown when you confirm a purchase applies.
- Gifts. A gift goes to the named player right away and can't be taken back.
- Unlocked items stay unlocked for as long as the Velo Network runs, even if an item leaves the Store.
7. Buying coins
Coin packs are sold by Tebex Limited as reseller and merchant of record, under Tebex's checkout terms. Your contract for the payment is with Tebex. Prices include any applicable VAT as shown at checkout. Coins are added to your account as soon as Tebex confirms the payment. If a payment is refunded, reversed or charged back, the coins from it are removed again, even if that makes your balance negative; an account with a negative balance can't buy anything until it's back above zero.
8. Velo+ subscription
- What you get. While your membership is active: the monthly Velo Coins shown at checkout (credited at the start of each billing period), access to all Velo+ Addons, the + badge and the VIP role on our Discord once your Discord account is linked.
- Billing. Velo+ is sold through Tebex and renews automatically every month (30 days) at the price shown at checkout until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period, through the link in your Tebex receipt email or by writing to davidseibert20@gmail.com. Your benefits stay active until then; coins already credited are yours to keep.
- Price changes apply only from your next billing period and are announced at least 30 days in advance; you may cancel before they take effect.
- Addons may be added, improved or retired over time. Their availability can depend on the Minecraft version.
9. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online. For Velo Coins and Velo+, which are digital content and services supplied immediately, you agree at checkout that we begin before the withdrawal period ends and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance has started (§ 356(5) BGB). Your statutory rights in case of defects remain unaffected. More in Refunds & Velo+.
10. Free coins and rewards
Daily rewards, quests, invites and optional rewarded ads are a free bonus. We can change amounts, quests and limits at any time. Collecting rewards with bots, macros, scripts, multiple accounts, manipulated statistics or fake invites is not allowed; in that case we can remove those coins and items and exclude you from rewards.
11. Acceptable use and sanctions
Don't harass other players, spam, impersonate others, upload custom capes that are illegal, sexual, hateful or infringe someone else's rights, or try to break, overload, scrape or abuse the Software or our servers. If you break these rules we can, depending on how serious it is: remove content (for example a custom cape), and suspend your access to some or all Velo Network services, for a period or permanently. We'll tell you the reason where we can. If you think a decision was wrong, write to davidseibert20@gmail.com.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Velo Network online but can't promise uninterrupted availability; maintenance and outages happen. Features may change as development continues. If we ever shut down the Velo Network, we'll announce it at least 30 days in advance; unused coins don't entitle you to a refund unless the law requires one, and active Velo+ memberships are refunded pro rata for the time not provided.
13. Warranty
The free Software is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Mods can break with new Minecraft versions, conflict with other mods or contain bugs - keep backups of worlds you care about. For paid digital content and services, the statutory warranty rights apply.
14. Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the contract possible and on which you may rely), limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded, for example for lost saves or a ban on a server whose rules don't allow client-side mods.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Software or the law changes. We'll announce important changes in the launcher or on this website at least 30 days before they apply to paid features. The date at the top shows the current version.
16. Law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
