Velo Client 0.9.9: The Velo+ Update

0.9.9 is the biggest Velo+ update yet - and the best parts are free for your friends: they join your world without Velo+.

World Hosting

Open your singleplayer world and press Open to friends in R-Shift > World Hosting. No port forwarding, no IP to share - your friends join through Velo, from anywhere. Before anyone gets in, your world is backed up.

• Invite friends or your whole party with one click - they get a Join button wherever they are.
• Join codes like VELO-ABC123: share it anywhere, people knock, you let them in.
• Public worlds: list yours in Discover - anyone joins, or they ask first.
• Manage who's in: op, game mode, teleport, kick, remove or ban - and the world's rules: keep inventory, PvP, one player sleeps for all, mob griefing, day cycle, difficulty.
• Different mods? Velo shows exactly which world mods you're missing and relaunches with matching mods - in a temporary profile, your own setup stays as it is.

Discover

Partner servers now sit in a bar along the top of the title screen - each with its own icon and live player count, one click to join. The Discover button (and the top of the launcher's Servers page) lists them with your friends' worlds and public worlds. Something wrong with a public world? Press the flag to report it to the Velo staff.

Name Styles

Make your name move - in chat, the tab list and above your head, for every Velo player. In the Locker's new Name tab (game and launcher, changes show live):

• 21 effects: wave, rainbow, shimmer, neon, glitch, fire, aurora, scanner, heartbeat, matrix and more.
• Up to 6 colours with a full colour picker, speed and spread.
• 9 fonts, an icon in front, bold, italic, underline and glow.
• 27 presets to start from - and every Loadout remembers its name style.
• Don't like flashy names? Turn others' styles off - or just in chat, tab or above heads - in Velo Network settings.

Cloud Sync & restore points

Your settings, HUD layouts, profiles, waypoints and keybinds follow you to every PC. Velo backs up after sign-in, every 10 minutes and when you close the game, and keeps 30 restore points - pin the ones you never want to lose, roll back with one click. R-Shift > Cloud Sync.

Clips Pro

• A 2-5 minute replay buffer at 1080p60 with sound, recorded on your graphics card's own encoder.
• Auto clips when you get a kill or win a game.
• Watch clips right where you are - a real player in the game's Clips screen and the launcher's Media page, with sound, volume and seeking. No more external video player.
• Trim by dragging: pull the handles at either end of the timeline in, then Save trimmed - or share just that part.
• Share: copy a link to velo-client.com or send it to a Velo friend - they watch it in the game too. Shared clips stay online for 60 days, then they're deleted.
• Clips are compressed hard, so they take a fraction of the space.

Animated custom capes

Import your own GIF as a cape - in the game or the launcher - and every Velo player sees it move.

Your own Home background

Velo+ members can put their own picture or animated GIF behind the launcher's Home card instead of the island. It's always scaled to cover the whole card - never stretched. Settings > Appearance > Home background.

Container animations

• The whole window now pops, slides, drops or zooms in - its texture too, not just the items and text.
• Items fly to where they land for every kind of move: shift-click, hotbar keys, Mouse Tweaks drags and scrolls - in chests and your own inventory, creative included.
• New settings: opening style, open/close speed, item flight speed, flight arc and whether an item only appears once it lands.

Smaller things

• Name Styles now replace the server's colours on your name everywhere - also when a server colours names letter by letter.
• Changes to your cape, wings, aura or name style save straight into the loadout you're wearing, in the game and the launcher.
• Keystrokes costs less every frame (labels are kept, keys are drawn as one shape) and the W is properly centred.

Fixes

• Fight Recap only counts real fights now: one that ends in a death or with the server saying who won. Hitting a friend a few times no longer makes a recap or a replay.
